Mast Truck Mounted

FLAT BED TRUCK MOUNTED WIRELINE UNIT

Drum assembly to be of all steel, noncast construction, with a capacity of 20,000 feet 5/16 inch wireline. A large diameter drum shaft with pillow block design bearing each end will be incorporated. A single conductor collector ring will be installed at the drum shaft unless customer requires a multi conductor collector ring. Drum assembly will be on raised supports which will be bolted directly to the truck frame for greater strength. All safety guards and panels will be installed.

NOTE: Multi conductor collector ring will be at additional cost if required.

Brake assembly will be of dual wide band design offering good stopping, holding and heat dissipation characteristics. A mechanical brake lever will be installed convenient to the operator. Drum air brake option is available, truck must have air brakes.

Drive assembly to be of chain and sprocket design with a tensioning system. A Funk three speed transmission combined with a planetary transmission will be installed to increase the range of speeds and pulls available to you. Hydraulic motor will power the transmission package.

Power drive assembly will be by a side mounted power takeoff at the truck transmission. The power take off will drive the hydraulic pump.

Hydraulic assembly will be of closed loop design, 5,000 psi working pressure. A rugged duty variable displacement pump and fixed displacement motor will be installed. Controls will be by a directional control valve and a remote relief valve. Dual pressure gauges will be installed with one to monitor system working pressure and one to monitor system charge pressure. Hydraulic fluid will be supplied from a large capacity reservoir with breather/stainer filler cap and a sight level/temperature gauge. A hydraulic oil cooler will be installed to aid the reservoir in cooling of the hydraulic fluid. A filtration system will be installed. All hoses and fittings will be sized for maximum flow. Spooling will be by parallel arms, shock cushioned, steering system. Control will be of hydraulic operation and control will be by a joystick control lever installed at the operator’s console.

Measuring head to be a straight line measure meter with large register wheel for 5/16 wireline and dual idler wheels. Center wheel will lift out for ease of loading cable with the rope socket connected.Encoder will be supplied and installed by customer to assure the pulse per minute signal is correct and matches to the customer supplied and installed logging system. A mechanical depth counter will be installed at the operator’s console. A hydraulic weight indicator system, 0 to 10,000 pounds, will be installed at the meter with dial at the operator’s console.

Truck body to be of flat bed design and of steel construction. Treadplate material will cover the body. A heavy duty steel rear bumper with storage compartments will be installed.. Tow chain accommodations will be incorporated. Fold down access steps will be installed to ease access to the flat bed. Tool storage area will be installed at rear of the body and under the floor. Mounting plate on rear bumper for customer supplied and installed combination vise will be incorporated.
Operator’s cabin will be just behind the drum area and approximate dimensions will be 7 foot wide x 7 foot front to back with 6-1/2 foot ceiling height, all interior dimensions. The construction will be of all steel with square tubing framework for greater strength. The compartment will be well insulated to a high R factor. And walls and ceiling will be covered withlight colored FRP material. A wide entry door access door will be installed at the driver’s side unless otherwise requested by customer. Heavy duty hinges and latches will be installed. A large viewing window will be installed over the drum area and an opening window will be installed at the operators entry door. Pull out and fold down steps for ease of access to the operator’s compartment. Computer rack supplied by customer will be installed by MWI. Operator’s console will be installed inside the operator’s compartment and behind the drum assembly. All controls, gauges, and switches will be installed. With operator safety, comfort, and efficiency in mind. A well padded with back rest roll around chair will be installed for the operator with securement method for transport purposes. A well padded observor’s seat will be installed across the rear of the cabin and will have storage compartment under,NOTE: Fixed operator’s chair can be installed if required, at extra charge.
Electrical power will be by a 5KW “Road Power” system driven by a side mount power take off at the truck transmission. Skid plate protection will be installed. Electrical receptacles will be installed as may be required. Lighting will be of 12 volt DC operation and will be installed at the operator’s compartment and the drum area as well as exterior rear corners of the body. Lighting will be of 120 volt AC operation and will be installed at the operator’s compartment and the drum area as well as exterior rear corners of the body. Climate control will be of roof mount air conditioning system and a 12 volt DC hot water heater with variable control under the observor’s bench. Shop power connection 120 volt AC will be installed.
Drum performance to be as customer requires.
Paint color to be white with black body unless otherwise requested by customer. Striping and decals to be by D&S as may be required.
All material used in the manufacture of this equipment to be of new and recent manufacture.
Mast of all steel construction, rectangular tubing with hinge post on rear of the body. Dual top sheaves or single large diameter wheel as may be required. 30 foot reach from the ground as requested. Hinge post will be installed to the body and will allow wireline to be run between the upright posts or over the top wheel as D&S may require. Hydraulic operation. Dual hydraulic outriggers, one either side of the rear bumper, will be installed for leveling of the truck before raising the mast. Individual control will be at the rear body area.
ALTERNATE :Crane with 30 feet of reach and will be set on raised pedistal. Hydraulic operation on raising, scoping, and rotating. Winch will be installed with cable and safety hook. The crane will be installed at right rear corner of the body and will replace the offered mast. A walk around control pendant with 25 feet of power cord will be installed to allow the varied operations.
